Western Kenya is home to a large community of NGOs and charities, working tirelessly to improve health, education and joblessness in this struggling region of Africa.
Herein lies the most unique travel experience – the opportunity to experience some of the challenges of modern-day Africa- at NGO project sites, health centres, slums, schools, and community centres.
In this age of global social responsibility, most travellers actively seek and welcome the opportunity to learn more about the societies through which they travel. As such, we offer responsibly-arranged visits to local projects through which you can not only learn, but also directly contribute to the initiatives through the cost of your travel experience. It is our hope that the cumulative effect of these tours will be to increase global awareness of some of the issues being faced locally and to support fundraising for many sustainable projects within the region.
All tours include hotel pick-up/ drop-off, comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and fuel, knowledgeable driver/guide, refreshments and lunch (for full-day tours), and all entry fees. Does not include shopping money or any discretionary tips.
We can also work with our many friends within this region to arrange suitable volunteering placement. Contact us to find out more
