Safari is truly a once in a lifetime experience.  The very best safari parks in Africa – the mighty Masai Mara and the beautiful, flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru, are both very accessible from, or en-route to Western Kenya but Integritour can cater a Kenyan package to any of the key wildlife destinations including Amboseli, Hells Gate, Tsavo and more.

A successful safari is mostly down to the amazing wildlife that you are pretty much guaranteed to see from the comfort of your safari vehicle but of course, your guide/ driver, the vehicle and your choice of accommodation all play a large part in the success and enjoyment of your safari.

We work with the most knowledgeable, experienced driver-guides and most comfortable of vehicles.  We also have relationships with the best accommodation providers in each price bracket – ensuring that we can tailor-make your perfect safari to your budget.

Typical safaris include:

  • Masai Mara 2, 3 and 4 day safari – budget, mid or high-end accommodation
    • Round trip from Kisumu or starting from/ returning to Nairobi
  • Lake Nakuru 1 day tour – round trip from Kisumu
  • Nairobi- Lake Nakuru –Kisumu – 2 day trip (and reverse)

Safari prices are fully inclusive from pick up to drop off:  comfortable vehicle & fuel, knowledgeable driver-guide, park fees, refreshments and full-board accommodation.  Optional extras include the Masai village experience,  hot-air ballooning, alcohol with meals and any discretionary tips.

ITL 001- 3 days/2 nights: Masai Mara.

Day 1: Kisumu/Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we drive through the green  Kericho farm lands  to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon ‘Spice” game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park’s are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Day 2:  Game drives
You will enjoy two game drives, one in the morning and another in the afternoon or opt for a full day having packed lunch in the park. You will have numerous plains game viewing including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. You may have an optional visit to a local Masai village. Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Sarova Tented Camp or  Mara Sidai Camp

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve –Kisumu/ Nairobi

You will be woken up early, and after a cup of tea or coffee, leave for an early morning game drive to return to your lodge/campsite  for breakfast. Soon after breakfast, return to Kisumu/Nairobi to arrive by mid afternoon (kindly note that lunch on this day is NOT included but can be arranged on request).

ITL 002 – 7 days/ 6 nights: Nairobi-Mountain Lodge-Sweetwaters-Lake Nakuru-Mara- Mara – Nairobi/Kisumu.

Day 1: Nairobi.

Arrive into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration, and having collected your bags, you will be met by one of our Representatives and transferred to your hotel for the rest of the day. Overnight the Panafric Hotel .

Day 2: Nairobi/Mountain lodge,  Mount Kenya

Depart from Hotel and travel on to Mountain Lodge situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya – Africa’s second highest mountain.  Mountain Lodge is described as “Tree Hotel” and in a beautiful, peaceful setting overlooking a waterhole/saltlick frequented by elephants, rhino and buffalo.  Lunch, dinner and overnight at Mountain Lodge.

Day 3: Mountain lodge, Mount Kenya/Sweetwaters, Mount Kenya

Today we drive to the Sweetwaters Game Reserve.  Sweetwaters is the name adopted by the local people for the fresh sweet water tapped from the ground.  The reserve is located in typical savannah grasslands interrupted by the ‘whistling thorn’ shrubs, acacia trees and lush green vegetation along the Uaso Nyiro River.

Unlike some of the other National Parks in Kenya, the Sweetwaters terrain has not been invaded by the visiting hordes or scores of vehicles as yet and so the game grazes blissfully indifferent to the stares of their inquisitive visitors. There are also many hundreds of bird species to be observed. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Day 4: Sweetwaters, Mount Kenya/ Lake Nakuru Park

Soon after breakfast we leave for Lake Nakuru – a park famous as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers due to the lake being the location of one of the greatest bird spectacles on earth -with between one and two million lesser and greater pink flamingos feeding on the abundant algae thriving in the lake’s warm waters.  The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is home to Columbus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.

Lunch will be served at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.  An afternoon game drive around the lakeshore will be the main feature for the afternoon, dinner & overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 5:  Lake Nakuru/ Masai  Mara

Today’s drive takes us to Kenya’s finest animal reserve –the Masai Mara. We arrive in the afternoon to a welcome hot shower and lunch. In the afternoon we take an afternoon game drive then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge Meal Plan: Full board.

Day 6: Masai mara

Today’s we explore Kenya’s finest animal reserve – the Masai Mara with a morning and afternoon game drive.

Mara serves up unparalleld game-viewing opportunities – and it is here, more than anywhere else in the world that are you most likely to tick off the Big 5.  There are also over 450-recorded species of birds.  All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 7: Mara /Kisumu /Nairobi

Soon after breakfast we depart for Kisumu to arrive in time for lunch or have lunch enroute (on own)


ITL 003 – 3 Days/2 nights  Mt Elgon Climb

Trip Summary:

2 DAYS MT.ELGON TREK

Mount Elgon is a prime trekking mountain in East Africa. Elgon is a huge volcano with the largest crater of the major peaks in Africa. It is my favorite peak in Africa. It is less crowded than Kilimanjaro, just as Spectacular, and since there are less people on the slopes, you have a much greater chance of spotting wildlife. There are several waterfalls on the slopes, and there are even hot springs to soak in inside the crater! Climbing the mountain is an experience not soon forgotten.

Itinerary:

Day 1
Departure from Kisumu passing through Kakamega and Kitale farmlands. Arrival in the afternoon. Lunch enroute in Kitale town.  Arrive  Mt. Elgon National Park via Endebess town and into the village of the local Sabot community, spend the night at the beautiful Kapkuro Bandas (Lodge).

Day 2
After breakfast leave camp for a nature walk around the park. The park has a rich, unspoiled botanical diversity, tropical forests, bamboo and moorland containing stands of some of the most rare threatened species like great Podo, Elgon teak & Cedars over 240 species of birds are found. The big game include Elephant also referred to as  care Elephants and buffaloes, other common small game are Defassa waterbuck, giant forest hog, Oribi, bushback, civet, genet and wild cats, hyenas and Leopard are not often seen but can be heard. Care exploration (Kitum care (200) & Ngwarisha cave Makingeny cave. Picnic lunch at Elephant platform with Mt. Elgon Koitaboss pick providing a beautiful backdrop. A leisurely walk back to campsite. Dinner at a campfire and overnight at Kapkuro Bandas.

Day 3.
Leave at 7:30 am drive back to Kisumu  to continue with your onward tour activities on own.


ITL 004 –  Mt. Kenya – Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo – Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

DAY 1 – Nairobi – Mount Kenya

Early morning arrival in Nairobi/Kisumu, Drive to Mountain lodge situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya – Africa’s second highest mountain, mountain lodge is “ Tree Hotel” overlooking a waterhole/saltlick with elephants, rhino and buffalo frequent. Here you can relax and watch the animals from the safety and comfort of your private balcony. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Lodge.(BLD)

Day 2 –  Mount Kenya – Lake Nakuru

Early morning drive via Nyahururu Falls, down the highland slopes of Lake Nakuru National park. Home to thousands of pink flamingoes and over 400 species of birds. Lake Nakuru National park is world famous for its bird life! Apart from the spectacular scenery of bird life, Lake Nakuru National park is well known for its protection of endangered species such as black and white rhino and Rothschild giraffe. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hills (BLD)

Day 3 – Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo

Drive to lake Baringo – a fresh water lake situated between the two walls of Rift valley. Lake Baringo’s main attraction is the bird life. Kenya has over 1200 different species of birds and more than 450 have been sighted at Lake Baringo. Morning visit to Lake Baringo – only 30km south of Lake Baringo. It is one of the Rift valleys many soda Lakes and home to thousands of flamingoes and 150 recorded species of birds – the fish eagle being the prominent bird in the area. Bird walk and boat rides along the lakeshore are highly recommended here. Overnight at Lake Baringo country club.(BLD)

Day 4 – Lake Baringo – Masai Mara

Today’s drive takes you to Kenya’s finest animal reserve – the Masai Mara. Wherever you go in the Masai Mara there are animals, and it is here that the chances of seeing Kenya’s big five. There are over 450-recorded species of birds. Enjoy exciting game drives. Overnight at Mara Sarova Lodge.(BLD)

Day 5 – Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

After morning game drive, continue to lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake and home to incredible variety of bird species. Visit Crescent Island, a bird sanctuary, where you can wonder amongst herd of Impalas, Zebras and other plain games. Overnight at Lake Naivasha country club.(BLD)

Day 6 – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

After breakfast onward journey to Nairobi – back to reality! Evening meal at the carnivore restaurant – famous for its all you can eat charcoal grilled menu. Overnight at Nairobi Hotel(B)


ITL 005- Mount Kenya – Samburu – Aberdares – Nairobi.

Day 1   Nairobi – Mount  Kenya

Morning arrival in Kisumu/Nairobi. Drive to the slopes of mount Kenya. Check into Mountain Lodge, a tree hotel overlooking a waterhole and salt lick. Here you can relax and watch animals and the comfort of your private balcony. Overnight at Mountain lodge

Day 2  Mount Kenya – Samburu

Drive to the north of Kenya to Samburu National reserve. Samburu National reserve is one of the few places in Kenya where one can see grevy zebra, Somali ostrich and gerenuk gazelle. During your stay here, enjoy spectacular game drives and scenery; learn more about the Samburu culture and traditions. Overnight at Serena Samburu Lodge.

Day 3  Samburu

All day spent with lunch, dinner and Overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 4  Samburu – Aberdares

Scenic drive to Aberdares, check into Aberdares Country Club. After lunch transfer to the Ark which is set in the thick woodland at the heart of the Aberdares National Park. Dinner and overnight at the Ark.

Day 5  Aberdares – Nairobi

After breakfast transfer to Aberdares National Park for a journey back to Nairobi/ Kisumu to arrive in time for lunch. Overnight at Nairobi / Kisumu Hotel.(B)

ITL 006- 2 nights/ 3 days  Amboseli.

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

This morning we depart from Nairobi by road through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant. After lunch an afternoon ‘Spice’ game run is planned. In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and the elusive Leopard, nearly every vista within the Park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli

Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Maasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another extensive ‘Spice’ game drive.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast in the morning we depart by road to Nairobi. Transfer to your hotel or connect with one of our other exciting safari packages. Your choice of – the exotic Samburu Game Reserve, the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve (also known as the eighth wonder of the world), perhaps climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, or relax on the clean white sandy beaches of Mombasa Island along the warm Indian Ocean, are some of the wonderful options available. You can also choose to visit a children’s orphanage, explore the shops or simply relax before your departure tonight.

ITL 007- 1 night/ 2 days  Tsavo West.

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo West National Park

Today we depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned. The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. With a permanent water source, the Park virtually guarantees enormous herds and excellent game viewing including Cheetah, Lion, Leopard and Hyena and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants.
